First Miley, then Selena now Taylor ventures into a look beyond her years. Looks like the little lady of music is growing up fast. But i have to say, she looks beautiful. Taylor Swift at the ACM Awards in a gorgeous pale-yellow Elie Saab couture gown with floral appliqué train, side-swept ‘do and red lips. It was her night to shine, as she took home the Entertainer of the Year award, she’s obviously a young woman who can add fashion to her list of jobs well done.
You know I have been wondering when this caftan by Elie Saab was going to make an appearance. Angelina Jolie steps out in this gorgeous rust colored creation with nude peep-toe pumps and long ‘do to accept a humanitarian award at the Sarajevo Film Festival. Shes a big fan of the caftan and she looks gorgeous.
Dutiful Disney darling Selena Gomez was in London for the launch of the Mouse House’s HD channel. Her skinny jeans and sparkly cap-sleeve top look adorable and are so appropriate for this event. Beside any event where a girl can wear glitter, its a must do.
This has to be the best season ever for Evan Rachel Wood. The starlet shocked everyone with her new short haircut but has been owning this look ever since. Not to mention not everyone can pull off Dolce & Gabbana star-print pants with a Dennis Hopper tee and leather jacket (at the Curb Your Enthusiasm season premiere bash in NYC), but ERW looks amazing. She’s obvs having fun on the red carpet, and that enthusiasm is so infectious—she rocked her look.
Jennifer Hudson shuts the red carpet down at the Women Doing Good Awards in New York City. Her simple, fiery red draped mini is so sexy, and she’s got just the right amount of bling. Even though the Oscar winner hasn’t entirely given up on her scary-tall- platform heels, this time they don’t seem so heavy. The Woman looking good, indeed..
I have always embraced the idea that “STYLE” is all around us. It isn’t just about a magazine add. It’s in a smile, it’s in a laugh, or it’s in a group of inspired young artists donating their talents to a worthy cause. I was fortunate to experience all of these examples of style today while spending time with an unconventionally chic blend of raw talent being trained at the Kaizen Beauty Academy. President of the Pembroke Pines Florida school, Jackie Nepola, brought her brightest students together to raise funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundation in their grand re-opening Kut-a-thon and I made sure I was there to bring you all the highlights of this fun event. Upon arriving, I was greeted by American Vocal Academy Music Community members, D.J Foxwell (Dani Navarro) and Pop Artist Tiffany Luna spinning his awesome mixes. Kaizen students like Steven and Mathieu, among many others were donating their creative talents to glamorize all those who came out for a festive day of face painting, pink hair extensions, posh manicures, fab facials, stylish cuts, and amazing messages by Dr. Ted Berger (Chiropractic Physician). A constant flow of fresh faces to beautify kept Kaizen Beauty Academy’s most promising talent inspired and I look forward to seeing more of their trend setting savvy skills in the near future.
All my best to my new friends! Thank you for showing me a wonderful time.

Let’s get one thing straight, you can never have too many pairs of shoes! Agreed? No matter what your style is—modern, retro, hippie chic or classic—having a personal collection of shoes is essential to a true Fashionista. I truthfully have an ever-expanding collection myself, but my latest fave is this amazing pair of espadrilles from Valentino. The lace heal is to die for. I even have the JackiesBoutique.com design room creating new versions in other colors.
What are you favorite shoes of the season?

Forget any hesitation you have about trading your ordinary Tee for this seasons tunics. Today’s tunics, with their bold colors and stylish shapes, are a streamlined, sophisticated alternative to the boring wardrobe staple. “They’re just as easy to wear but add a certain polish to your look”, says Fashion Designer Jacqueline Jax of JackiesBoutique.com . “Tunics are a perfect way to add a modern edge to your personal style with simplicity and ease”, she continues as she adjusts her newest design; an elegantly layered tunic with cami straps in Summers hottest Indian Turquoise Hue. (Shown below)
This season opt for tunics in bright prints and solids that will add edge to your wardrobe and keep you comfortable in the hot summer.

Bright Tangerine turns into the season’s must-carry bag.
Styling Tip: Mixed materials and details — The Kate Spade Westwind Felice Tote has texture, color and shape — will give even your most basic ensemble a dose of style. I love it just as much with a sundress as I do a cardigan and jeans.

On April 29th, Kate Middleton walked down the aisle with her Prince creating one of the most highly anticipated fashion moments of the year. Kate’s style has surely been a focal point in the media for years and we have a style file ready for you to check out the fashion.
Kate’s Top Trends:
1) Short skirts are on the rise as Kate steps out in skirts with stockings and boots. We’re seeing everything from prints to solids as top choices of this Princess.
2) Wrap dresses and tops are flattering for just about every figure type and Kate wears her share of wrapped and thinly belted waistbands.
3) Gorgeous hats are back in fashion and we are seeing everything from large over sized brims to delicately adorned vintage couture. Don’t shy away from adding a fun hat to your casual look. It doesn’t have to be fancy, just fun and playful.
4) Dresses, dresses everywhere- we are crazy about the dress making a big comeback. Prints, bold solids, and little black styles are all hot and Kate has certainly helped bring them back in focus.
5) Casual Jeans: You will want to have at least one pair of each white jeans, dark wash and a light wash as well as you move from season to season. If your figure is svelte, try the skinny jean with tapered leg tucked into a mid-calf boot. The look is fresh casual paired with print tops, neutral blouses and lots of blue and shades of white like Ivory. And don’t forget to bring along a shawl to toss over your shoulders.
6) Lace dresses and top. Every Spring we always start to see the peek-a-boo fabrics start to emerge and this year even more so. Designers are offering up beautifully embroidered selections from Italy, France and England. Wear your lace in shrugs, dresses, skirts, pants or top. Anything goes.
7) Boot’s will certainly be in everyone’s closet as Fall comes back around. Let’s just say, when weather permitted boots and a short skirt should be in everyone’s future. Don’t forget the stockings!
8 ) Loose casual curls and longer tresses will be the hair to have. We have seen this look on many style stars this year and Kate is locking down this style showing us how and when to wear the look.
9) Leather totes and satchels are the bags to have for your every day casual work and play style. We’ve seen Kate with large over sizes leathers and smaller tote in neutral colors. Then try a smaller clutch for evening. Kate’s evening style stays simple and elegant in the bag department.
10) Smiles sum up our top 10 list for Kate’s personal trend setting style. We hope you’ll take her lead and flash those pearly whites anywhere and everywhere.
What’s your favorite look from Kate’s Style file?

With the Golden Globes past and the Academy Awards just a few weeks away, this years 17th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards is where fashion meets celebrity and they sure showed up to make their presence known. The stars came out in full force this year with fashion clearly on their mind. Here are my top fashion picks for this years SAG Awards.
Can you tell that Strapless is coming in strong and furious for Spring? This years Spring Couture promises feminine touches and sexy shoulder baring styles unlike last years more structured designs. (Glees) Heather Morris looks stunning in this peach dream that proves it is possible to look effortless in high fashion. If you look closely, the dress is adorned with delicate folds of chiffon that make up this bodice of flowers. You can tell that alot of work went into this master piece and her figure is the perfect canvas for a truly beautiful gown. I love the sweeping length and flow of the skirt.
One of my favorites is Natalie Portman in this glittering white strapless gown by Azzaro. Not only did she walk away with the award for Outstanding performance by a female actor in a leading role (Black Swan) her fashion stars were in alignment. Her makeup was natural yet just enough to enhance her features. The elegant jewelry works because it is so feminine and delicate. Chunky jewels would have been to much. Natalie’s hair was simple but classic showing that you can look simply fabulous even when you’re with child. Maternity wear never looked so glamorous. Congratulations on your first big win! Talent should never go unrewarded.
If you are one of my clients, you know that I love color. My favorite season is Spring for the simple reason that I adore playing with bright palettes of flowing fabrics that enhance the skin tone in a playful way. This is a hard dress to pull off but Modern Family star Sofia Vergara wears this Roberto Cavalli so well. I adore Cavalli, he inspires me to push my limits as a designer. With all the extravagant details and complicated folds, normally a dress like this can swallow you but she gives it just a hint of Sophia Loren sex appeal with tousled hair and a siren attitude. If you’re going to wear a dress like this, you have to be sure that you have the figure to pull it off. Be careful of being to top heavy and make sure that you are tall enough to balance the detail otherwise it will swallow you. I think she really looks ah-mazing! Royal blue never looked so appealing.
Hilary Swank has been wearing Versace for years and it’s hard to find a look she hasn’t rocked. This dress has alot going on and I typically don’t like to see this much happening with 1 dress but her height and curves really give this dress a voice that Donatella can be proud of. If you know anything about the designer, this style is very classic Versace, even though they usually create in vibrant colors but this dress is so chic. Hilary could have done something different with her hair but as a big fan of Versace myself, I always love to see one of her creations walk the red carpet. Simply stunning!
Best Actress nominee, Annette Bening walked the red carpet in style this time with her handsome husband, Warren Beatty. They both looked amazing in true Hollywood glamor. As apposed to her terrible fashion choices for the Golden Globes, I love her in this high very Audry neckline by Tony Ward. The dress was embroidered with crystal stones and matte sequins. Clearly a gown that will be renowned for bringing Annette back into the best dressed category. She not only looks stylish but in this bejeweled gilded gown Annette glows with classic glamorous beauty. And thank you for changing your hair. You know that I adore you, your Golden Globe hair was a disaster.
Glee star Lea Michele may be petite but she has proven here that you can still look sleek and gorgeous if you wear a dress that is well proportioned for what you have to work with. This plunging Oscar de la Renta metallic gown with last years big accessory, the waist cinching belt is a look that would make the red carpet stand up and take notice. If your busty, you don’t want to adorn such a low cut style. This is a better choice for a smaller shape and yes a little tape will be necessary. But hopefully your stylist will come prepared.
The lady in red. I really like this dress. It’s not the typical red carpet gown but Mila Kunis the star of “Black Swan” wore it so well proving that you can pull off prints if you have the right mix of hue and fabric. The whimsy of this strapless chiffon gown by Alexander McQueen is a modern turn on today’s celebrity red carpet fashion. Plus Mila’s dramatic smoky eye makeup really took her look to another level. She looked like she was coming off a NY Runway show. I can’t wait to see how Joan Rivers responds to this one. P.S- Mila is wearing over 300,000 in Cartier Jewelry. Where are the body guards?
Finally my favorite gown of the evening was this show stopping pink feathered princess like gown worn by Angie Harmon. The dress was designed by Monique Lhuillier and it moved like she was walking on air. As Angie crossed the stage, this dress played a graceful song and she was the star. The jewelry wasn’t over done and the hue was perfect for her skin tone. Along with clean hair simple hair, sexy bare shoulders and springs dewy make-up, Angie gets my vote for the best dressed of the night. I can’t help but be excited for my favorite season, if this is a preview into what Spring has in store for us.Be sure to subscribe to Today’s Truffles if you love fashion and want to see more celebrity fashion reviews. Have you seen the Golden Globe Fashion Review? There are more amazing styles for you to see and the celebrities are out in full force this season.
